A tribute to my brother

Yesterday, my younger brother received an offer letter to join KUTPM. He will be leaving to the hostel this Friday after completing the registration today. Damn… How time passes so fast… Just 17 and a half years ago he seemed like the perfect nightmare for me. He looked like a freakin’ lizard when he was born. At least, that’s wat I said to myself at that tine. Now he’s grown into a large lard-ass, just like his brother. The only difference is that he has a much cooler handphone than me and wears geeky glasses coz he doesnt like to eat lots of carrots.

Looking back at the times when we grew up together, I sometimes laugh at those times. I had a love-hate relationship with him during those years, and the 5 year difference in our age didnt help much either. In my opinion, he was the devil in disguise. My bro just had his two horns filed off and his pitchfork misplaced. Fucker was always getting in my nerves, and we constantly fought. We fight for the slightest reasons. And I usually do cruel things to him for payback. And I get ratted out to my mom by him. Nice memories…

My brother wasn’t very gifted in maths. And I used to tease him a lot. But he made up for his lack of mathematical skills with his skills in electronic stuff. He was also very skillful with his hands and whenever anything needed tinkering with moving parts. He’d stay for hours with his wires and battery and motors and dynamoes until mom needs to shout at the top of her lungs to get heard. As he grew older and moved on to secondary school, he learned to overcome his math problems. I now had nothing to tease him with.

We only became close after I left Klang to study in that god forsaken place. During my trips back home evry 4 months or so, we learned to get along. And I was proud he was following my example in taking care of my shapely physique. (For the record, I have a slightly bulging waistline)

Now, the house is gonna be empty and quiet for 3 years. Since he is gonna go live in a hostel, I have no one to argue with, or to punch and kick at when I’m pissed at something. There’ll be no one to fetch my stuff as I ordered. There won’t be anyone for me to wrestle with. And my mom’s gonna be cooking even less food (hmmm… maybe that’s a good thing). And I will have no one to cover my ass in case I screw up with something at home. And it’ll be boring without anyone to fight for the TV remote or argue who gets the biggest piece of chicken.

Bro, if you’re reading this, Good Luck in ur studies!!! And guess wat?! The room is now AAAALLLLLL MINEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Muaahahahahhahahaha!!!!
