My Name & Me **Updated

I am unique. Ever since i was born, the temple priest who calculated my birth numbers said I’m such a unique person. It seems, he told my parents that I was to become someone greatly interested in arts and music, and be guided by a scientific mind. He also said that my command of words will mesmerize people.

Wow… I wonder how he did that. For starters, I love art. I like to scribble and brush and scratch and doodle and do whatever possible things there is to do with a pencil and paper. I also love to look at great artworks from great men of art like Da Vinci and Van Gogh. This can be proved by the fact that I visited the Louvre several times last year. On the Internet. As to my inclination towards music, that can never be denied. I love Eminem. And Linkin Park. Also Metallica, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N Roses and a host of other bands/singers. While in university, I had the ability to blast my music thru my Altec Lansing speakers so loud that my neighbours had a row with my housemates on the second day we moved in. Yup. Obnoxius.

Next on the list: a scientific mind. Hmm… that is true also. I almost always define logic as the absence of superstition. Or is it the other way around? Whatever… And so, again, I am ruled by a scientific mind. I almost always have an explanation for any superstitious advice my parents give me. ALMOST always. I say that because sometimes I end up on a receiving end of a lecture from mom. Or dad. Or both. Maybe with the inclusion of my grandma. And aunt….

My command of words? Oh well…. For sure, I can tell you that my vocabulary is slightly short of magnificent. I have a wide array of cuss words at my disposition. My insulting capabilities are of a higher-than-average level. Bet you the priest didn’t see that coming huh?! Heheheh…

My name was supposed to reflect who I am. I say it perfectly describes me. Albeit in a different way, but nonetheless fitting. And surely my name is very unique. Well, maybe in the Indian community. Most versions come with a “B” in place of the “V”. I’m not complaining. It’s made me stand out. Well, actually my rotund figure also makes me stand out, but let’s save my weight issues for another edition, shall we???
