A Look Back At My Very Own 2007

Well, 2007 is ending. And I’m back recollecting another year on God’s green (and hazy) earth. I went to Pangkor for a reunion of my 2002 foundation studies class and a company trip to Port Dickson on my birthday. I started my blog site. I earned money online. I rejoiced at a reunion with my friends in Sungai Petani. And I ate A LOT of good food. Now, surely, many people have started analysing themselves on their progress for the past year. Well, I have done that too. When I look back at the beginning of 2007, I made only 5 resolutions. So, let’s see how I fared, shall we?

Resolution Number 1
Get A Job Within 3 Months of Graduation, Kavi!!!

Well, let’s see… I unofficially completed my degree course after my Industrial Training presentation on December 6th 2006, so I had till March 6th, 2007 to get my 1st job. This was a successful endeavour, though I barely managed to scrape through. The market for fresh graduates specialising in PHP was a tad too small, I guess, as most of my interviewers wanted some experienced guys working on some project which is devilishly urgent. Luckily, I landed my current job right in the backyard of Klang town, on the end of February, and started my 1st (sleepy) day on the 5th of March, 2007.

Get A Nice Rug This New Year!

When the new year comes, it’s time to wring in the old, and roll out the new. It’s always a good idea to start at home and what better place to start than the living room or common room? Instead of spending a fortune to replace furnitures (which is not practical at all), a better alternative, not to mention aesthetically AND financially feasible, is to purchase new rugs.

Rugs are very easy to be put as decorative add-ons to homes and also provide a nice warm, cozy and not to mention a fuzzy feeling to it. Buying rugs don’t need you to fork out a small fortune and leave you with a large hole burned in your pocket. Some cheap area rugs which are also good in quality is never hard to find, if you know the right place to look for it.

A rug in a room is very important to complement all the other décor in the room. It should be able to harmonize effortlessly with the colours in the room. Rugs come in many different forms, shapes and sizes. Some rugs are manufactured with a specific location in mind for it to be put, like the living room or the bedroom. Some are present with extra fittings like beads and tassels. Rugs are also made to suite different occasions throughout the calendar. Some décor aficionados roll out custom made rugs when standing in the midst of certain days such as weddings or seasonal celebrations. Rugs also sometimes custom made to match the buyers’ tastes. For example they can be made to look like a tiger skin rug with synthetic materials without actually sacrificing a tiger.

So what are you waiting for? Go to the nearest rug dealer and get your hands on the best rug that you can. Rugs rarely disappoint in the context of home decorations, and they come in many varieties to suit the tastes of just about everyone.

If Malaysia Was A TV Serial…

So much drama in the nation now, and in my point of view, if you ain’t careful, you gonna be history. The drama that keeps unfolding every single day has the plotline of most successful soap operas or long running TV serials. Well, let’s see what we have here, shall we?

Surely, we must have the protagonist here. This character is played by the muti-cultural Malaysian citizens. Yeah, the citizens of Goblok-land, who are living their simple lives in one’s own respect. We also know that the protagonist has certain flaws, like inequalities within itself, and certain ravaging problems eating it up from inside. But as all good serials go, this hero/heroine character is striving to make itself better one small step at a time.

Why England Finds It Hard To Win Tournaments

This article is the brainchild of my friend, Mr. Anton Kumar of the 4th Medical Batch, AIMST,  who is an avid footballer and a semi-pundit in his own respect. The following article was written by him and published on the Friendster bulettin on the 19th of December, 2007.

So,now they hire a world-class coach to achieve a World Cup dream. But, they forgot one thing though… they don’t have a WORLD CLASS FIRST XI. Here are a few reasons why England will never win the WC, even with Fabio Capello!!

1) CONFUSED PHILOSOPHY

In footballing terms, you either play TECHNICAL football (Brazil, Holland, Portugal, Argentina) or you play TACTICAL football (Italy, Germany, Czech Rep, Sweden). The countries stated have very good qualifying and competition records because they strictly ADHERE to their philosophy. England, however, is a lost cousin, neither here nor there!!
