Is This How A Great Day Supposed To Be???

Aaahhh… It was a great morning. Im sure the whole day is gonna be fine too. I woke up 5 minutes before the alarm rang. Sweet, I thought. Steadily, I walked to my PC and flicked on the monitor and discovered that all my downloads were completed. With a smirk, I checked on Soccernet and was overjoyed to find out that Manchester United had won and are moving on to the UCL semis. Damn… The day couldn’t have started better.

After a great hot bath, I put on my favourite shirt, all ironed crisp. Tucked it in, styled my hair, put on my tag, grabbed the car keys and said goodbye to mom. I felt good about the day; the sun was fresh and the air smelled great at 7.45 am. As I stopped at a stall to get my nasi lemak, my eye I cought the eyes of another SYT heading towards the same stall. I smiled, and she smiled back. Got my nasi lemak, said “Hello” to the beautiful girl, and then I got back into the car to head to work. I swear to you, it just sounds like the movies. Even I felt like that. Look out Brad Pitt!

The traffic lights were all green, with the traffic smooth as a river’s flow. The windows were down, and the wind was in my hair, and my car was cruising effortlessly. I reached my workplace with time to spare. Scanned my thumbprint, and slid down to my office to eat my breakfast while blog hopping and reading football news. Then I got down to work at about 10.30. Lo and behold, the nagging problem that has been killing for 3 days was solved in 15 minutes. I got the idea from an epiphany. Which came to me while out on a fag break. Which was about 30 mins long.

Stepped downstairs to check on the server. While I was there, somehow I got the courage to talk to the hot chick there, and managed to get a date with her this Saturday. She commented on my new hairstyle. She said today I had that extra oomph on my face. Walked off with a swagger to 7-11 to get me a Slurpy. I think I made that bumbling oaf who’s been after that hot chick look even more like a doofus. Hah! I’m sure he’s terribly jealous of me now.

Lunch time came by, and the boss brought us out for bah kut teh. A filling stomach and 90 minutes later, we went back to the office. I leaned back on my chair and put on a quick nap. Aaaaahhh…. In about an hour, I’ll be checking out, heading to the fitness centre. Life is good.

Then, it happenned.

I AWOKE FROM MY DREAMY SLEEP and discovered that I was fucking 15 minutes late. And discovered that my PC was shutdown automatically due to the download failures. And I put on the shirt which I didn’t wanna put on. It creased easily. And I forgot to even comb my hair.

Traffic jam was murder. Reached just before 9am. Bumped into the hot chick and garbled my apology. Great. She must’ve thought that I was a retarded dickhead. I’m sure she’s referring to me as Rain Man now. And that cranky programming problem has gotten me up in a bunch. And it’s raining cats and dogs. Life’s a bitch.
