Sigh… I just saw that I hadn’t really put up a post about the nomination of KaV’s Kollage in the Manya Blogger Awards. Yeah yeah, I know about the stories surfacing on whether is this the latest PR ploy hatched by the MIC. Well, they MIGHT have got their statistics a bit mixed up here and there, but, let’s face it, they ARE trying to do SOMETHING. What is that thing, we shall never know until the shit hits the fan, right? Hehehehe…

I was nominated in the Best Personal Blog Category. Currently, the standings are as follows:
Kav’s Kollage - 4.26
Tulipspeaks - 3.49
Puvanan - 3.18
Kartz - 2.38

Looks like I’m leading, so guys, please go vote for yours truly HERE. Just click on those little stars to give the rating.

Yeah, I ain’t toning down any insults or arguments directed at Putera MIC just coz I was nominated. Heck, if I win my category, that’ll be somewhat of an achievement, albeit a weird kind of achievement. If PMIC was ever so genuine in their desire to engage the wired community, they should first try to learn to discuss matters. Try heading to their website (ahem… blogspot-redirected site) and just have a look at the comments section of their posts. The number of valid questions answered in a coherent manner with attached proof is kinda scarce. Yes, a big Lame-O.

Personally, I know of many other Indian bloggers who are not nominated, but are very much prominent bloggers (or blogs). My humblest bow to them. I don’t know how I pipped them to be nominated, but guys like Sactyr and Makkez and Balajoe have my respect.

Perhaps some should ask me, why the hypocrisy of condemning MIC (and PMIC), but accepting the nomination? Well, I’m a complicated person. I can be very, very manipulative and I take all opportunities I have to come out with something very much profitable for me. I use my environment to work for me. Whenever confronted with any situation, I take a look at the surrounding variables and measure how much can I use them to work for me. You could say I’m kinda like Michael Scofield. Without the great physique and only having one measly tattoo opposed to Scofield’s whole body ink.

Rest assured, this is not for fame. Well, maybe a little. I still have something up my sleeve. I wanna win this if possible. Things might just turn out to be interesting.

“I’m kinda like Michael Scofield” haha..i also heard scofield is a gay:p

[Kavi: the guy who playes Scofield might be gay.. the character Scofield ain't gay... ]

  4. Kav and Tulipspeaks, I am humbled to be included in the list. But this awards is like picking out the best colour from a colouring set. I know most of those who got nominated, but each of you are different in your own way, so how can we vote for one person?

Also I don’t agree with the fact a political party should be doing this. Look, we have 40,000 kids without birth certs in Selangor, our students not getting their deserved scholarships, and instead of PMIC looking into all this they want to have a love affair with online bloggers?

Take care of the people in the ground, help them first, then they can reward us bloggers. I have been commenting similarly against the Manya Awards all over the net, but yet to write on my own, coz lets just say I am still waiting for a “professional reply” from them as promised?

Anyway good luck to those nominated.

[Kavi: i cant argue wit ur notion. In fact, you are right in every sense. Aaaahh,... about ur professional answer... u'd have better luck in having coffee wit Lucifer..]

  5. I agree with Sactyr.

Why do they have to start this award shit right now? Moreover, immediately after the GE. Haha! There are other urgent problems to solve amongst the Indian community. They should be doing that. Most of us (Indian bloggers) are at least, comfortable with our lives. We have internet access, we have roofs above our heads… spend the award money for other Indians (or Malaysians) laa…

Just imagine ourselves as part of the organizing team for Manya Awards. What is the REAL agenda and motive for this award crap? Think like a real dirty politician, and you’ll get the picture

[Kavi: let's give them the benefit of the doubt shall we? I wanna wait till the whole schbang is done, then grab a popcorn, sit in the front row, and watch the unfolding drama....... I heard it will be better than any Indian megaserial. hehehehehehe...]

  6. hey, wasn’t i the one who coined u the term michael scofield yesterday?

    [Kavi: ssshhhhhhhhh!!!!!! ]

  7. Cheers bro! My utmost respect to all those who have been nominated!
