Being Smart Gets You In Shit
Is it a crime to be smarter than one’s peers? Sometimes, the annoyance that results from the perpetual teasing and downtrodding of the smart ones just sickens me. Some dumb as shit motherfuckers dare to make fun of a person’s knowledge, yet being so oblivious to the fact that they are a total embarrassment to themselves in the eyes of others around them.
Not that I’m saying that this happens all the time to everyone. But there are SOME people who are like this. I’ve seen in cliques of friends, where the smartest guy doesn’t get an ounce of respect. He gets bombarded upside down with deragatory remarks because he’s scored 97% on the previous day’s test. He gets humiliated for getting straight As. But when you look deep enough, the one who’s making the most noise would be the one with the IQ of a fruit fly.
Here’s an example.
Guy 1: Hey guys… I got me my Masters degree already! And I’m being given the award for the best student for the whole batch!]
Guy 2: So what punk?! You think you so educated now? Why dontcha try to educate me, punk?!
Guy 3: Hey dudes… Look at this loser.. He got himself a Masters degree, it seems… That’s some rich boy shit!
Guy 1: But guys.. Come on… I’m just sharing the happy news…
Guy 2: So you think you can be the master of me now, eh, with your Masters?! Fuck you!
This is opposed to the regular conversation of these dumb motherfuckers.
Jimmy: Yo! I just got outta jail today!
Guy 2: Sweeeeet! Dude you tha man!
Guy 3: Hey guys let’s celebrate Jimmy’s return from the slammer! Drinks all around y’all!
Guy 2: Hell Yeah! You so cool bro!
Or this scenario, in universities.
Guy 1: Dude I totally failed this paper.
Guy 2: Me too. Hey, you failed too?
Guy 3: Yeah… Let’s drink tonight to celebrate!
Guy 2: Hey Johnny! Whatchu got?
Johnny: Errr.. I got an 85…
Guy 3: Hahahaha.. you fucking nerd! Go get a life!
See what I mean? Any comments?

OMG I know exactly what u mean! It’s like these bastards are so pissed with us cos we have the drive to go and actually make something of ourselves!
Which is why i never tell people what i am doing cos i have been a recipient of the “Oh so you must think you’re so smart” look like a million times!

i got frens who studied like shit, but still couldn’t do well in their papers…then all of them would group together and said “i’ve flunked the paper” or “aiseh, studied so hard, still score so bad” in a very demotivating manner.
and when they asked me “hey, u ok ah? how’s ur score?”
i said “er..ok lo. i din fail lor”
and they would say “nerd”.

The moral to this story is…get new friends…very quickly.
Seriously. I used to have that problem until I started not having people like that around. It’s odd though…why is it so hard to have friends in the same field these days?
