Three New Books For Me

Bought three new books. Sociopolitical books this time. Jeffrey Archer’s gotta wait.

my 3 new books

I’ve already hit the RM500 mark in expense in three different purchase sessions in 5 months. Usually it’s a mixture of fiction and non-fiction, but this time I opted to get non-fiction in hope of these new books will gimme a better perspective of our nation at it’s current stage. Hmmmm… Should I be reading books now, or listening to UMNO propaganda? Tough choice. But I went for the book. Seems more trustworthy.

The titles are as follows:

  1. Cage of Freedom: Tamil Identity and the Ethnic Fetish in Malaysia by Andrew C. Willford
  2. Religion Under Siege? by Multiple Authors, Edited by Nathaniel Tan & John Lee
  3. Failed Nation? by Rustam A. Sani

All were purchased from Kinibooks.Com. The delivery was very fast, and I mean FAST. I ordered in the evening, and I got the book next afternoon! Now that’s service for you.

I’m two-thirds into Failed Nation?, after which completing I will jump to Religion Under Siege?. Cage of Freedom will take my utmost concentration to fully absorb the content as it discusses something which is very much my heritage, so to speak. I’m not a book-reviewing type. I just read ‘em, understand ‘em, and when begotten the chance, I’ll cherish the pleasure of discussing the books with ones who are interested.
