Is it a crime to be smarter than one’s peers? Sometimes, the annoyance that results from the perpetual teasing and downtrodding of the smart ones just sickens me. Some dumb as shit motherfuckers dare to make fun of a person’s knowledge, yet being so oblivious to the fact that they are a total embarrassment to themselves in the eyes of others around them.
Not that I’m saying that this happens all the time to everyone. But there are SOME people who are like this. I’ve seen in cliques of friends, where the smartest guy doesn’t get an ounce of respect. He gets bombarded upside down with deragatory remarks because he’s scored 97% on the previous day’s test. He gets humiliated for getting straight As. But when you look deep enough, the one who’s making the most noise would be the one with the IQ of a fruit fly.
I was caught. I was embarrased. I had no chance of escape, and now, I’m gonna get fucked.
Don’t let your minds wander, kids. I got caught listening to some songs that, well, I wouldn’t wanna be caught dead listening to. NO, they’re not songs riddled with expletives. Nooooo… They are much more worse than that. They are the songs that perhaps can be categorised as your own stash of “secret songs”. And being a male, these songs are considered, errrr…, what’s the word I’m looking for now? HAH! Queer! Songs that would make you appear queer.
Lemme explain the whole shenanigan that took place. My friend stumbled upon my secret playlist. Songs that I will only listen with the headphones on. Songs that are considered only good for females in a romantic mood. Songs that I am afraid to let the world know that I am listening to. Songs that… well, you get the picture.
Guys, I need help BIG TIME. Here’s the lowdown.
I’m using Joomla 1.5, and I need to use a DHTML-like menu for my topmenu. I’ve installed the swMenuFree component, and it installed without any problems. My problem is, I don’t freaking know how to use the damn thing!
My topmenu has an item named “Courses”, and it has 4 submenus in it.
Courses
- Course 1
- Course 2
- Course 3
- Course 4
I want to be able to mouseover on the Courses item, and have a dropdown of the 4 submenus which will point to different articles. The menu setup is fine.
Say, for example, I want to make the menu appear at the “user9″ position. In the swMenuFree setup, my menu system is “transmenu” and menu source is “topmenu”; and I named the module as “DDMenu”. In the module manager, I enabled DDMenu at postion “user9″. At the theme template, I’ve put this code “<jdoc:include type=”modules” name=”user9″ />“.
But nothing happens.
Can anyone, please, please, pretty please guide me exactly how to display the dropdown menu using swMenuFree? I don’t mind if you start over, or even teach me how to use another plugin.
Being a Malaysian Indian, you can’t help being a bit viewed in public in a stereotyped manner. Nah, I’m not talking about the famous potrayals of the drunken wife-beater image (which is fucked up, by the way). I’m talking about the wonderful kinks that are prevalent amongst the Malaysian Indian community itself. The kind of things that when it is happenning, you can’t help but to break a smile and shake your head, at the same time asking youself when will all these be over. The truth is, will it be over? No. You complain about it, but in your heart, you never want it to be over. What is it about us?
One word. Awesome. From start to end, The Dark Knight (TDK) didn’t disappoint me at all. And it even made my non-comic-reader friends join in the bat frenzy and ask me all sorts of questions to satisfy their thirst of wanting to know more about Batman’s comic roots. I was of course only too happy to oblige them. Neways, I caught TDK at TGV Bukit Tinggi on Friday night. Needless to say that the two screens allocated for the 9.30om show were packed to maximum capacity. TDK has managed to turn superhero-haters into people who appreciate a well written story, not withstanding a man in a tight black suit.
Spoiler Alert!
